LAS VEGAS, NV, UNITED STATES, September 29, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ -- We Love Doodles Doodlepalooza 2026 made history on Sunday, Sept. 27, when 296 dogs gathered at Cowabunga Canyon in Las Vegas for the Guinness World Records title for most dogs attending a dog pool party. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on site to verify the count.

Organized by Doodle Rescue USA and presented by We Love Doodles, the inaugural event brought doodles and poodle mixes together with their families for an afternoon at the waterpark. Dogs played in the wave pool, splash pad and kiddie area, while their people watched from the shallow-water areas and grassy grounds.

The event’s record-setting count surpassed the previous record for a dog pool party. But Doodlepalooza was built around more than a number. It gave doodle families a chance to gather in one place and helped raise funds and awareness for the rescue work happening in the Las Vegas community.

Doodle Rescue USA is a Las Vegas-based nonprofit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming doodles and poodle-mix dogs. Funds raised through Doodlepalooza will support the organization’s rescue operations, including veterinary care, professional grooming, foster placements, transportation, behavioral assessments and adoption services.

Those services help dogs move from difficult or uncertain situations into safe, stable homes. Rescue work can involve medical treatment, time in foster care, transport from shelters or owner surrenders, and support as dogs adjust to new environments. Doodlepalooza gave the organization an opportunity to connect with people who care about doodles and share how community support can help meet those needs.

The on-site adjudication also gave the gathering a clear, verifiable result. Guinness World Records staff confirmed the dog count during the event, turning the community celebration into an official record-setting occasion. The 296 dogs that took part represented doodle families who traveled to Cowabunga Canyon for the day and helped make the fundraiser possible.
